United States Customs and Border Protection has passed 200 miles of new border wall constructed under the second Trump administration. The agency is currently building 12 miles of barrier per week.[^1]

The Independent reports the weekly build rate equals approximately 20 kilometers. That figure was confirmed on October 9.[^2]

Prior agency data recorded 727 kilometers of the border wall system had been completed as of early 2020. That count includes reconstruction work.[^3] Vanguardia published the historical total on October 18.[^4]
